ADB | CDB

ADB|CDB (Asuciación de Barro, Asuciació de Barri, Asujação de Barro, Club de amigos del Barro) is an instance of exploration, interaction and recognition. It was first created in 2019 as part of the research project «Temporal and Physical-Sonic Approaches and Experiences with Clay: An Interdisciplinary Project on Sound Work From and With Matter» as part of the Master’s program in Sound Art at the University of Barcelona.

The first action of the Clay Association involves the creation of a social network to share content related to clay and soil as an open source for everyone. Over the years, the Association has been activated for different purposes, through workshops, performances, explorations and installations. The Association collaborates with other artists who interact with it when it exists.

The Association «has no fixed character. It strives to be an autonomous zone of free research and expression, ductile and resilient in its dimensions, eager to grow, expand, diffuse, self-destruct and re-emerge when necessary». Through various means, both analog and digital, and through people gathering around it, the Association takes shape and is activated.
